Geocaching
Geocaching, “geo-cashing,” is
a treasure hunt, blending technology, detective work, navigation, and
intuition. You obtain information on local geocaches on web sites such
as www.geocaching.com or www.terracaching.com. This
includes the coordinates, clues, and usually a story about the
location. You then use a GPS device and the clues to find the
geocache.
John Neale will
give a presentation on how to geocache. John has been caching for
3 years, by the name of "Old Navy". He is active in the Northern
New Jersey Cachers, www.NNJC.org. Then, weather permitting,
we will go outside and try to find several caches near the library.
