How the FBI Fights Computer Crimes

(and how you can help)

One of the top priorities of the FBI is  investigating high-tech and cyber crime. This mission includes fighting computer intrusions, viruses, child pornography, sexual predators, intellectual property theft, and internet fraud.

High-tech crimes, perpetrated by criminal cartels and terrorists, rely malicious codes and viruses.  These are spread over the internet through home and business computers which have been captured in “botnets”.  You can  help by keeping your computer from becoming part of a “botnet”.

The speaker is Philip Frigm, a special Agent assigned to the Cyber Squad of the FBI’s Newark division.
